How do I get paid?

Intro consultations: clients pay the flat platform booking fee (KES 300) by M-Pesa or card before the session; payment processing is deducted and Lex retains 100% of the net — you receive KES 0 from that fee. Case hire and case invoices (your legal fees on Lex): separate from consultations. Lex earns 1% of what the client pays; payment processing (~1.5% on M-Pesa) is deducted from the same gross — you receive about 97.5% (e.g. KES 97,500 on a KES 100,000 payment). Case hire settles to your payout balance when the client pays.

What is the Advocate Plan (Lex Pro)?

One subscription at KES 2,999/month (30-day trial when LSK verified) unlocks your full provider presence: search, bookings, case tools, and AI features. Billing is collected by M-Pesa or card. If payment lapses, you are hidden from search and cannot take new work until you restore payment.

Is my LSK number verified?

Yes. Our team manually checks your LSK admission number against the Law Society of Kenya roll before your profile goes live — there's no public LSK API, so a human reviews every submission.

Who owns the client relationship?

You do. Lex provides the technology platform. The legal relationship is entirely between you and your client.
